Udaipur
6 Days · 7 Nights
Udaipur rewards people who stay. This departure uses seven nights so City Palace, the boat on Pichola, and the ridge at Sajjangarh do not have to happen on the same afternoon. Two mornings are deliberately empty.
Enquire on this departureHighlights
- City Palace and the old city lanes, with a guide who can skip the crush
- A boat on Lake Pichola to Jag Mandir
- Sunset from Sajjangarh, the Monsoon Palace
- An optional countryside or Kumbhalgarh day, quoted separately if the drive is worth it for the group
Good to know
- October is a strong month in Udaipur. Rooms of the standard we use are held only after the enquiry is confirmed.
- The City Palace complex is large. The visit is edited. Nobody is walked through every courtyard for the sake of it.
- Exact hotels are named on the quote. This page is the shape of the week, not a rate.
An indicative flow
How the days usually sit.
This is the rhythm we recommend. It is not a contract. Weather, opening hours, and your flights will move a day, and the final plan is written after we speak.
-
Night 1
Arrive and do very little
Transfer in, a lake-facing room, and dinner close to the hotel. The city is introduced the next morning, not from the back of a coach at dusk.
-
Days 2–3
Palace, old city, and the lake
City Palace while it is still quiet, then the lanes. The following day is the boat to Jag Mandir and a long lunch. Bagore ki Haveli’s evening performance is offered, not assumed.
-
Day 4
A choice of roads
Either a quiet day in the city or a long drive toward Kumbhalgarh and the countryside. We only sell the fort day to groups who want six hours in a car.
-
Days 5–6
The ridge, then nothing scheduled
Sajjangarh for sunset on one evening. The other day is open: a market, a spa, or the ghat. Departure sits on the last morning.
